in november 2018, Magic + Pasta held its first event: a semi-orchestrated food fight in residential North Berkeley. the event preparation involved outfitting a concrete garage to ensure both the space and participants would not get injured, as well as selecting ideal foods to fight with. what began initially as a calm opening with a Spotify playlist quickly derailed to 5-10 minutes of contained mess.
