MAGIC & PASTA is an ever-evolving project of projects. We strive to expand into new territory within the realm of relational aesthetics, whether that manifests as a workshop, a performative event, a gathering, or a hybrid of these elements. Magic & Pasta is run primarily by Helen Ip, who often collaborates with other artists to bring an event / workshop to fruition. TENTACULAR THINKING is the foundation upon which projects are driven by, meaning that the idea and execution process are developed in an interwoven manner amongst collaborators.
Space can be hard to come by, and because of that we are location-agnostic. Each project occurs in various spaces that we work within to adapt to each project.
In the spirit of the Fluxus movement and relational aesthetics, we defy definition. The energy that goes into event-making can be quite contagious. We try to emphasize the fun of bringing people together, whether that be related through food or through the desire to share knowledge.
